Nashville looking like serious contender for a new team

I'm against any new team that would cut into the Braves market area. Give the new teams to Portland and Montreal.

Portland sucks.

We need more teams in the South and to target African American fans.

The Braves left city limits and that's bad enough.

And let me tell you: I'm one big cat.

It would certainly have an affect on perhaps the Braves losing some fans if Nashville gets a team. Have to tell you, from my view, the folks in the Music City seem well organized. Whenever MLB expands, Nashville would have to be considered a favorite to land a franchise.

We need fewer teams in the south, not more. Anything that will siphon revenues away from the Braves is bad for the game, because it will put the Braves in a weaker position for acquiring talent.

Placing a team 3 1/2 hours from Truist Park, in the middle of an area that is solidly loyal to the Braves, can do nothing but harm the team we all support.

The team will be named in honor of the Nashville Stars of the Negro Leagues, it will be majority Black-owned, and it has some serious clout, in hopes of being in next wave of #MLB expansion or relocation.

i legit have no idea why i'd supposedly be against this.
tho my internal reaction of "oh ok" might shed some light on it.
hmmmm...

And they should move the Marlins or Rays before expanding. Talent is already thin enough around the league without extra teams.

But, Manfred is all about that dollar. I can’t believe we manage to find a commissioner worse than Selig.

I'm speaking from MLB's perspective.

Braves need to be in the city limits, and there needs to be at least another team in the South.

Absolutely pathetic that we have rich, growing markets like Nashville and Charlotte just sitting there.

Baseball needs to become popular like football again so nerdy fans like Super leave.

Yeah seriously... We need more real fans.

The kind of fan who enjoys cosplaying when going to their sporting events. The kind who unironically wear Ed Hardy merchandise. The kind who thinks that WAR is an awesome Ozzy Osbourne song and forget that "Pigs" is also part of the title. The kind who ponders all the different places they could take a **** without getting arrested. The kind who ride loud motorcycles and the more people that are around, the louder they get. The kind who still believe that the WWE is real, hardcore rasslin. The kind who makes an animal analogy attempting to put down someone else, then reinforces the analogy by claiming that they are the "big" version of that animal.

I know, this baseball utopia will never come to be... but can't a man dream?

MLB rarely passes on anything that would **** the Braves so might as well consider this Nashville thing as an inevitability.
