Bravos acquire C-Doumit from Twins for Gilmartin.

Having Doumit on the bench will allow Fredi to use Gattis as a pinch hitter more often in the games he doesn't start.
 
Obviously the org. didn't like what it saw from Gilmartin last year and decided to move him. Maybe he will be terrible again the minors and have no value whatsoever.
 
I like it. Gilmartin is nothing to me. Doumit gives us a switch hitter with pop that can play C, LF, and RF. He mostly likely will be a great bench player but easily can play everyday at C or LF/RF if needed. I love it actually

Doumit is coming off a 710 OPS season and has multiple concussion issues. He's also horrible defensively....

He was a .1 WAR player last year
 
Not sure this is about a bigger trade, but more about just getting that good bench bat back. It was important last year, and he's a good replacement for Gattis there.
 
Can he play a passable corner outfield? And when I say passable I mean ge looks gold glove compared to Gattis.

What makes you think he's anything more than a bat for the bench, similar to the role Hinske had for us? Not seeing the downside here.
