Me n Gold had a short conversation about Eisenhower the other day.
Got me to thinking, that was the last (R) President that didn't bring a hotels worth of "Daddy" baggage with them

That is weird.
What attracts middle American (Red State) voters to that ?

Grant and Eisenhower have both been underrated. Reagan's dad was an alcoholic but he was well adjusted. I actually think mama issues are at the root of very poorly chosen ones problems.

The video of that flimsy wall coming down is gonna be in a Lincoln Project attack ad by the end of the week.

But how do you sign off on a cheap ass wall, unless of course building the wall as quickly as possible was all about politics, and not about an actual wall. If they are gonna build a wall, it should at least be built to last 50 years.

I haven't read it. But one of the reviews I read says mama. And I've believed mama for a while now. She almost died when he was 2 giving birth to his younger brother. And basically was an absentee mom even aside from her lengthy convalescence.

There is a rough rule: girls suffer more as adults if they did not have a healthy relationship with a father figure, and boys if they didn't have a healthy relationship with their mothers.

That's probably true, too. Is it possible to have both?
 
Why is OO afraid to throw out the first pitch at a Yankees game 3 weeks away? What kind of ugliness is he planning before then? Makes no sense. If he can spend all day playing golf, what's an hour or so at a baseball game?

They should ask Biden to come toss one underhanded.
 
Does anyone have a coherent reason for closing the Chinese consulate in Houston?

I know Pompeo said something about them spying, but that kind of activity is pretty much expected. In the past the CIA would rather allow spying but find a way to use it to our advantage. Closing the consulate is a rather harsh action that seems sort of publicity driven. But if there's a more concerted plan at work, great.
 
Its obvious retaliation for causing Trump's poll numbers to nosedive. I would be all for cutting off China from US. They arent honest actors and we never should have opened to them in the first place.
