2020 Field

It's creepy, but also fairly normal and healthy, reflecting a genuine need for intimacy.

On the other side, "I grab 'em by the pu$$y!"

Its being reported in Brazil that the US ambassador there asked for a reduction in ethanol tariffs as a favor to help Trumps 2020 campaign......

For my friends that advocate change in the 2 party system

Beat um

The point being, power does not relinquish power without a fight. To fight one must engage your adversary
I have yet to see a 3rd party of any stripe, those I would love to see with more power or those I wish would wash away
engage at any level

Bitching about it on a baseball message board is not engaging

We have a family member in our house that has been phone banking for (D) since 11 AM and has been every other day for weeks.
This is how the (D) party defeated Sen Sanders twice. They didnt cheat him, they out organized and out worked his organization.
The same recipe that defeated Rep Paul years ago in (R) politics

Until those 3rd parties have a ground game, any ground game , which requires time and effort they will be nothing more than niche choices

So I ask again, what did you do today ? Did you make calls or knock on doors
or piss and moan like a little bitch ?

Watch The Vote on PBS
and good luck.

oh
And, wear your mask

Hold up a second. Ron Paul had as good of ground game as anyone in 2012. I dont know what your definition of cheating is but the Republican Party changed the rules of the primary specifically to thwart Ron Paul mid-primary season. They also canceled primary voting in a Maine District that had a lot of Paul support for a Snowstorm that never existed. Ron Paul's candidacy in 2008 and 2012 was about more than running for President. It was about inspiring the next generation and I think it worked. The two party system is being held together out of fearmongering but people hate these 2 parties. Anti-establishment is on the rise. Much of what you said isnt wrong but I feel like we had all that in 2012 and did not get a fair shake not just by the Republican Party but by the media. I am not going to out and protest only to get beat up by police. Thats for suckers.

If his ground game was so strong ( as Sen Sanders my candidate in '16 and '20)
how did those things happen ?

Inspired them to what ?
It is definitely not to get out the vote and secure seats at the table.
Had the Paul people taken the message of Maine, they would have secured seats in Maine of consequence to assure it didnt happen in 2016 or 2020
Have they ?
All that is left of the Paul legacy is Rand

And if you are not willing to lay yourself down for what you believe, who will ?

Today, Portland is the example.
BLM is the example
What happened to the PArkland kids that were going to revolutionize politics ?
Just kinda faded away - didnt show up when it mattered
I agree in theory why not a 3rd party --- but it seems everyone is, too busy

In our small town there are at least 15-20 others phone banking, knocking on doors, handing out leaflets, registering voters.
and that is just (D)
In my travels to grocery stores or Lowes I have never been approached by a Libertarian asking for my vote
or since the candidacy of Nader, any 3rd party for that matter

I dont know how ground game is supposed to stop the corruption. The Paul base was as loud and vocal as anyone. Instead of the media acknowledging him as a serious contender because of that they dismissed them as crazy people. Media will be the first to tell you they heard from the Paul base when they pulled this **** so its not like they didnt try to do something about it. I dont think you know much about the Paul campaigns in 2008 and 2012. 2008 laid the foundation. He gained a lot of support. In 2012 they had a genius delegate strategy. The Republican party had to pull all kinds of shenanigans to counter Paul. Here is a little more on that.

Had there not been shenanigans with the delegates and Paul managed to win enough delegates to force a contested convention he had a great chance to win on the second round of voting when many of the delegates bound to one person in the first round would be free to choose anyone they wanted. The Republican Establishment had to unleash several dirty tricks to keep Paul supporters from being those delegates. You could make the case it was the Paul campaign gaming the system but they didnt make or change the rules. Here is more on the 2012 strategy.

By having people of authority at all levels from Dog Catcher on up.

The problem I see with 3rd parties organization is they are motivated from the top down rather than the bottom up.

Suppose Paul had people embedded, I mean deep state level embedded. State senators and state cabinet officials. Local Mayors and Councilman in the room when RNC
did what they did.

That is the level of ground game neiter Paul or Sanders had.

Clyburn of SC handed the nomination to Biden.
Was that corrupt? Not to my mind, for whatever reason Clyburn liked Biden better.
They have been friends for a long long time

They legislated together
Perhaps Clyburn owed him a favor --- who knows.
Perhaps Biden slapped backs and got Clyburns district hurricane relief or a roads contract

I dont for a second think had Sanders been in Bidens shoes and had a friend like that he wouldn't have cashed it in.

Same for Paul, do you think if Paul had the advantage of swaying that Maine district to his liking he wouldn't have done it?
I'm sure you've met career politicians
they competitive much?
///////////////////////////////////////////

how many people did Paul have in Maine and what power did those people have?
why not, again, what 3rd party candidates are running in local elections in your area ?

Well I disagree about going from bottom up. Thats a good strategy that might benefit my great grandkids grandkids. There are actually a lot of Libertarians in the lower levels of government but they often have to run as a Republican. I think Rand is going to be a major player going forward in the Republican party. He isnt his father which is both a reason he could succeed and a reason he wont. Ron refused to play ball with the rest of the corrupt power whores in Congress and in turn he was ostracized. The RNC even tried boosting Democrats hoping to beat him. Its funny, he was all over media and welcome on just about every political show there was until he ran for President. We know why this is and Rand is doing what he has to not get blacklisted by the media. Politics is just a cesspool.

This is officially the worst argument I have ever heard. The Trump tard here says we dont have to guess what coronavirus response by Biden would be because all he did during other virus's was "shutdown testing". How stupid does someone have to be to buy that.

Joe Biden VP contender Rep. Karen Bass on Sunday walked back comments praising late Cuban Communist dictator Fidel Castro in 2016 — insisting she didn’t know he was despised by his own people.

I continue to hope for either Whitmer or Bottoms. Those two have shown tremendous laidership chops dealing with the covid crisis. They have shown strength and resolve in facing down their opponents. They won't be intimidated or sweet-talked by Putin or Xi.

Klobuchar was my original choice (in fact I registered as a Democrat in part to vote for her in the primary) but alas she has opted out.

credibly accused creepy joe up 4 in North Carolina

credibly accused creepy joe up 1 in Georgia

Senate races also polled in those two states:

Cunningham up 9 over Tillis in North Carolina.

Perdue up 2 over Ossoff in Georgia.

There are a lot of sleeper Senate races in red states that haven't gotten much attention but are in play: the two Georgia races, Montana, South Carolina, Iowa, Kansas, Texas, Alaska, Kentucky.

And four so far where the Republican incumbents are trailing: Arizona, North Carolina, Maine and Colorado.

Alabama looks like it will be a GOP pickup.

Brian Kemp would have a stroke if Bottoms was added to the ticket.

Have a feeling it would drive turnout in GA. But our elections people have closed so many precincts already.

For example in the heart of Atlanta, 5 precincts compromised of 16k voters, 4 were closed leaving 16k people to have to go to one precinct.

Kinda stupid to do that. I believe this is on local officials not the state.
