I think he might be done. Broken, ineffective and unprofessional. No team is going to give him a roster spot.

its a tremendous pen...could end up being the best one we've had...Matzek has been a tremendous find...and Minty Hippo is back to 2018 form

I may be completely delusional but I can't help but wonder if we wouldn't have another championship or two if we'd have had a pen of this depth and quality during the days of Glavine, Maddux, and Smoltz.

Thank god it's a 60 game season, pen wouldnt last going 162. AA does need another SP to emerge, idk if we can do 3 openers lol.

That PA vs Nimmo shows exactly why Wright will continue to get unlimited chances to stick in the rotation, all the while hoping he figures out how to execute his pitches more effectively.

Fastballs at 95-96 down, but over the heart of the plate. They are just nasty enough he didn’t get hurt.

Slider with good bite at 83 in, but not down and in enough to put the hitter away.

Change ups that appear plus to the eye test, but he didn’t execute the first 2 on the outer edge to induce a swing. Then he executes the 3rd change on the outer edge to get the K.

The parts are there, he’s just missing that fine tuning in the execution to be truly effective. If/when he figures that out he will be a nice 2-3 with potential for more depending on how the control progresses.

Change didn't seem to drop much.

Vertical movement on pitches other than good breaking balls is hard to judge on tv. The pitch appeared to have good arm side fade and a velocity delta from the fastball of about 8 mph.

Wright should have like 125 pitches worth of 2020 data available to check out tomorrow.
