Blech. The fewer doubleheaders we have to play the better. 7 inning games do not help us.
Next to zero percent chance. No need to start his clock for this season. Duvall-Acuna-Markakis one game, Riley/Ozuna-Acuna-Markakis the second.
One game of service time is not a big deal
It is if we use our starter 1 time through the order

One of those games will probably be an opener, so it kinda does tbh. 2-3 innings then bullpen rest of the game. Hopefully Max goes 6 in the first game.
So instead we’d have to waste someone’s option or DFA someone to bring him up just for 1 7-inning game? I think not.
Plus, it’s not 1 game worth of service time. It’s prorated for the shortened season.

At last check, Pache is already on the 40, so his options cycle has already begun.
But calling him up for the DH doesn't make much sense. If we had a normal situation and had soured on Ender, as it looks, that would be the situation to call him up in.
