08/08/20 GDT: Batlanta Raves @ Philadelphia Phillies

Personally, I'm a little shocked it was a poor idea to stack the lineup with RHHs like Riley and Duvall against Arrieta.

Oh wait...Arrieta is about a half run better vs RHH than LHH.

What a terrible lineup Snit threw out there. He has completely backslid into being terrible tactically, and it happened very suddenly.

Dansby's bat has come down to earth and he's striking out way too much.

another soft Vandy player

Actually this is a joke between me and a friend who went to Vandy. He played in the Braves minor league system in the 1980s but washed out at the AA level.

Tonight was not our night. Some mind bogglingly bad guesses by the HP ump went against us, our offense put up some absolutely pathetic ABs, and when we had some good contact we had no luck. Swanson's line drive DP was just cruel.

Wright could have had a strike em out throw em out DP had the ump guessed right and d'Arnaud made even a mediocre throw. Instead the ump kicked the call and d'Arnaud made a little league throw to second. One pitch later there's men on the corners.

Terrible team performance with nothing going our way is a recipe for an ugly loss. Just gotta shake it off and bear down tomorrow.

All the kids in Philadelphia are mad because Wright used up all their lollipops.

striker, I get your point on the bad inning. At least Segura should have been rung up on that play. Can't assume the DP. But the two pitches to Realmuto and Bruce were deservedly tattooed.

I just found it interesting how it could have been bases empty and two out and instead was men on the corners with one out.

That was a seriously bad throw by d'Arnaud. I watched the replay looking for interference but nothing. Looks like he just grabbed a handful of changeup.

I wonder if it’s time to begin viewing Riley though the lens of his value as a utility player. We know he can play the corner infield and outfield positions. Could he play 2B? And if so is his bat now enough to keep him on the roster?
