2020 Field

Democracies are built on the simple concept that citizens have a right to elect their leaders and have a say in their country’s future. After suffering systematic repression for the past 26 years under the authoritarian regime of President Alexander Lukashenka, the people of Belarus are demanding their voices be heard.

After a presidential election marred by electoral fraud, citizens peacefully protesting to demand an accurate vote count are now being met with riot police using stun grenades, tear gas, and rubber bullets. The Lukashenka regime has cut internet access, arrested protesters and independent journalists, and tried to muzzle foreign observers. These are not the actions of a political leader confident that he has won a fairly conducted election. But thanks to brave citizens — journalists, activists, and ordinary people documenting these extraordinary events — we know the truth about the assaults on democracy being committed by the regime.

I stand with those who are calling for a transparent and accurate vote count and the release of all political prisoners. I also call on President Lukashenka to respect the rights of peaceful protestors and to refrain from further violence. My administration will never shy away from standing up for democratic principles and human rights, and we will work with our democratic allies and partners to speak with one voice in demanding these rights be respected.

China and Russia are among the very small number of countries who have endorsed Lukashenka's "victory" without reservation. Seems to me this a golden opportunity for very poorly chosen one to distance himself from Putin and Xi.

it's down in numbers...easier for the police to id the chuckleheads and arrest them...which they have been doing

there is no doubt that the federal presence made things significantly worse

Or maybe...just maybe once things were taken seriously the peaceful protestors realized what was going on and wanted nothing to do with the anarchists

I'm genuinely curious what your goal of posting selective polls? I go and check and see you manage to not post about some that don't favor creepy Joe.

What are you trying to accomplish on this message board?

He also leaves out trendlines that show senile Joe sinking like the titanic. This is also seen in senate polls as well.

Writing is on the wall. Once the democrats sided with antifa/blm they wrote their own obituaries.

i don't post from polling organizations that work for a party or tend to have a strong skew in a particular direction

for example an organization named HIT Strategies released some North Carolina polls yesterday that gave very large leads to credibly accused creepy joe and the Democratic senate candidate...they also had Ossoff up in Georgia...HIT Strategies does polling for Democrats and seems to have a consistent skew in that direction, so I didn't share their results

I'm just wondering if he think posting random poll is gonna lead to someone on this board like, not voting or something?

i'm not involved in voter suppression

i do think this has a chance to be a realigning election a la 1932 and have been interested to see how big the blue wave might be and how many GOP senators and congressmen will be swept out with the tide
