I did see they are still top 5 in runs scored in baseball. Just looking at basic numbers you wouldn’t think that is the case. Just surprising to see such low averages for a generally good lineup.

Riley has actually been average vs RHP this year, while he has been unplayable vs LHP. I wonder if that’s just small sample size noise, or if a Riley/Camargo platoon could be serviceable.

It’s one part of it. Getting hits is kind of important, no? Obviously getting on base is the key, but why can’t hits be useful measuring stick?

Because not all hits are equal. If only there was a stat that took how important each hit was plus including walks to see how a player is doing.

I think Camargo has adequately shown in his career that he’s a very good option vs LHP.

Riley I agree on, but we may not be able to make a move for a LH 3B this year.

We're at the actual point where Pache can't be worse.
