GDT 8/16- Robbie and the 2 Hole !!

It's getting hard to defend him, and he seems injured. I have no info to say he is, so until then I would have to assume this is a poor 60 PA stratch.

I mean, Riley has a .517 OPS over 65 PAs and is still being run out there everyday while Culberson sits the bench. Camargo is sporting a nose ring and a .631 OPS over 68 PAs and is still playing every single day while Hech rots on the bench. Duvall has a .281 OBP overall, and a .612 OPS vs RHP, and somehow he is the "everyday guy" now.

Why are those putrid numbers allowed to play, but Ender's .552 OPS vs RHP too terrible to play? Why is Ender's leash shorter than Duvall's and Camargo's and Riley's?
What's different? Is he hurt? If so, why is he here?

Why is logical consistency completely lost on Snit?

If there were a big time prospect to replace camargo or Riley, I'm sure there would be calls for him

Pache would come up and likely struggle mightily with the bat. like, he could hit under the Mendoza with 30%+ Ks. very easily.
if Ender is truly a negative in the OF right now, i can maybe buy making the change.
he also could be hurt.
but ultimately, we're still only talking about 65 PAs. i'm not surprised the Braves haven't replaced him yet.

This is what I'm saying. I think it is much more likely Pache is hitting like Riley at the plate than he hits for a 100 wrc+.

If you are the braves you could very well be thinking that if you keep him down in this BS year, then you can manipulate his service time next year and get two extra years of control.

SO far, it does not seem like AA is going all in on this year. He's being very conservative with injuries. He's not calling up prospects. He is patient with guys that aren't complete mental problems like Newk and Folty.

Having this rotation and not using Weigel or Davidson is either a huge red flag for their talent or AA is not playing this to win it.

I find the Weigel thing very strange. I was looking forward to seeing him this year. His age, would seem to make him one of the first call ups.

He or davidson.

Bowman tweeted he thinks Touki is out his next start. He says he thinks it will be ynoa or anderson.

I don't get ynoa starting at all. He's a pen arm, does anyone think otherwise?

Anderson I get from a talent standpoint and most pitchers do not seem to last. There only seem to be so many bullets in the gun for 99% of them. That said, it is weird to call him up over Weigel and Davidson when he's not on the 40 man and the rotation is trash. If we had 4 solid starters and we were just calling up the best guy, then I'd get it. I think almost 100% of prospect people expect Anderson to be better than those guys and the vast majority would pick Anderson to be better this year. But we have a trash rotation and they still won't use Davidson or Weigel.

Even if you don't want to start them, I'd think with the holes in the rotation and expanded rosters we'd do more piggy backing. Why use a Dayton and Soboka when you could use Weigel, Davidson, Ynoa to get you through 6-8 innings?

He must have not completely gained his control back yet? I can’t think of anything other reason. I would have thought he would be called before Ynoa.

I'm a Weigel head. For no reason at all, I think he might have been the first successful starter of the rebuild if not for the TJ.

I would love to get a look at him. I have to conclude based on the circumstances that he must look pretty average not to have gotten a shot yet.

Not sure why so many consider Ynoa a bullpen arm. He went three innings last night and seemed to have no problems. That kind of stuff...why not let him start and see what he can do.

So you're calling Duvall a big time prospect? I'm not following...

The OF vs RHP should be Acuna, Ender and Marakakis, therefore Duvall is being favored over Ender because he runs into a HR every once in a while between flailing sessions vs RHP.

If Ender is hurt and that's only known internally then everything is obviously explained.

Selfishly, I want to see Anderson. I haven't wanted to see MLB data on a pitcher more than I want to see it for him.

It's literally all I want for my birthday.

I don’t understand Wright getting a longer look then Touki considering he’s never had a quality start in his short career where as Touki atleast has 2.
Both need to step it up but I’d give him one more start then change it up.
Would love to see Anderson instead of another retread but gotta do something to improve the rotation for sure

Why would Touki be out for his next start? It’s not like we’re overflowing with SP. Give him the chance to figure it out.

What's his third pitch?
I don't know if Enscheff did a stuff post on him. It looks like he's all velocity. FB looks straight and the slider doesn't have much vertical break. The change is the third pitch and I don't see it.

I don't even see him as a high leverage arm. I see him as a 6-7th inning guy until his contractual control runs out.
