In a news release, prosecutors said Bannon and another organizer of the campaign, Air Force veteran Brian Kol***e, claimed that they would not take any compensation as part of the campaign, called “We Build The Wall,” but that was a lie. Bannon, prosecutors alleged, received more than $1 million through a non-profit he controlled, and Kol***e received more than $350,000.

but liberals are catching up fast in this regard...everyone fundraises off outrage...i bet the folks at Lincoln Project are doing pretty well in terms of personal financial benefit
 
Wonder if SDNY informed Barr of the case against Bannon.

They apparently avoided using the FBI in the course of the investigation.
 
There is definitely truth in that. It's far more lucrative to be the opposition party. Sure you cant just pocket donations but your campaign can hire your friends and family and use the services of their buisnesses.


The Lincoln project made a very stable genius move and ran an ad in DC to trigger President Snowflake to rage tweet about them. Suddenly they were swimming in donations.

Why does Bannon get arrested for this but Trump never got arrested for Trump University or any of his other scams?



Normally I would say that this was such an obvious scam that no reasonable person would fall for but apparently if they just never said they were not receiving any financial benefit from the donations was the part that got them in trouble. I would be shocked if a dime actually went to building the wall.
