The Trump Presidency

what's fantastical about all of this is the fanatical following among a large proportion of evangelists...who overlook everything up including very poorly chosen one's claim that credibly accused creepy joe is trying to hurt God...along with the photo op with the bible

Bc your boy is supportive of churches being shut down... and at his own convention had memebers of his party removing "God" from our national anthem. There is a clear disdain for Christianity from the left.

Nobody cares that Trump isn't a Christian himself... what we care about is he isn't actively trying to oppress Christianity in the country.

Why this is difficult for you to understand, I do not know.

The law and order guy

And republicans will do nothing

A direct threat to this democracy

I've probably sung the Star Spangled Banner a few dozen times. And it's never had the word "God" in it.

Unless you're talking about no one singing the 4th verse of the song, whcih you're not wrong, but like many people I think you don't know that the Star Spangled Banner as even more than one verse.

What you're talking about is the Pledge of Allegiance, well that's a different an interesting history, but basically by getting your panties in a wad you're continuing propagating McCarthy era tactics which are honestly ****e. Though knowing you, you probably enjoy McCarthy era because for you as long as no one is taxed, you don't care if people's rights are shat all over.

He meant the pledge of allegiance. First, it is a lie to suggest that the Democrats as a party took it out of the pledge.

But there is also the question of whether a person who doesn't believe in God, much less the God of conservative Christians, is capable of being a good American, respectful of the freedom of religion that is part of our country. To me the answer is a resounding yes. There is no impediment to an atheist, or Hindu, or Buddhist or Muslim, or Marxist or liberal Democrat being as good an American as anyone else. Electing credibly accused creepy joe or someone that isn't part of a right-wing religious group doesn't threaten freedom of religion. It is simply a form of either paranoia or bigotry to assert something like that. But it does give a form of cover (as hypocritical as it might be) for supporting someone like very poorly chosen one, who in so many ways is the opposite of what Christians are taught to aspire to.

I don't think conservative Christians realize how much damage they have done to their standing with other Americans. Politics is about building coalitions. I know personally I have not always agreed with Evangelical Christians on all issues, but felt comfortable being part of a coalition with them on the basis of agreement on some issues. I have reassessed that. And I think I am not alone there. I do take some comfort in the growing signs of some Evangelical Christians splitting off from their brethren in terms of supporting very poorly chosen one. Hopefully, more will come to realize what a mistake they have been making.

Wonder what Constitution boy has to say about Trump and his idiot supporters talking about 12 more years.

I'll remind you that we had to instill term limits after the authoritarian socialist was the first President unwilling to leave after two terms.

I'm not interested in 12 years of Trump. Neither is he. They are joking

Indeed they can. But that doesn't change the fact that the left of this country is openly hostile to Christians. It's not hard to understand why Christians may support a politician who fights back

Nope. To think that a governor restricting church attendance during a pandemic is an attack on religion is just another manifestation of the paranoia that informs your politics.

Pelosi calls trump and Republicans enemies of the state. Glad the gloves are off.

Lets battle this out because one side wants to fundamentally change what America was based on and be other wants a restoration to what made us great.

There will be a reckoning on the 3rd and then we will have to deal with the crybaby leftists afterwards. Prisons are about to be filled up.
