Around the League 2020 Edition

Don't hate. Jace was worth 1 whole WAR in 2015

I actually thought after his first two seasons that he might develop into at least a reasonable short-term regular, but when he came to camp in 2017, the powers-that-be relegated him to utility man status after bringing in Brandon Phillips. Of course, it all became immaterial when Albies joined the club later in 2017.

Peterson is one of those guys that is an athlete playing baseball. When the Braves played the Twins up here in Minnesota, Peterson snuffed out a Twins' rally with a great diving catch in LF. I just don't think his skills ever matched up with his tools.

They replaced Holt with Jace Peterson. I always hesitate to criticize athletes who are much better than I could ever be at their stock-in-trade, but being replaced by Jace Peterson is hardly a ringing endorsement.

No doubt - just worth mentioning since we (some of us anyway) thought he might have been a reasonable part of a 3B platoon before he signed last winter. If he "finds it" - even a little - he'd arguably provide a better option than Culberson since he hits from the left side. Couldn't hurt to see if we could pick him up for a little cash like AA did when he went and got Schebler.

The signs of life from Riley and Camargo last night were great, and hopefully Ozzie will be back soon - a little insurance couldn't hurt though.

Apparently it was a 1 of 1 card with the card getting a 9 grade and the signature getting a 10 grade.

Hunter Pence DFA’ed by Giants. Was carrying a .096/.161/.250 slash line and an OPS+ of 12. Wonder who’ll pick him up. My guess is the Mutts.

Give me Seager. ;)

Acuna CF
Ozzie 2B
Freeman 1B
Ozuna DH
Seager 3B
d'Arnaud C
Markakis LF
Duvall RF
Dansby SS

Wouldn’t take on a penny of salary past this season unless it’s for a SP.

I suspect Liberty is gonna crunch our payroll, so we should give ourselves as much flexibility as possible to address the rotation next year. Our lineup will be good enough to manage with a hole at 3B.

The #Braves today selected RHP Ian Anderson to the major league roster and reinstated OF Ronald Acuña Jr. from the 10-day injured list. Anderson will wear No. 48 and is scheduled to start tonight’s game.

LET'S GO!

Tommy Hanson's number - hopefully not a bad omen.

Not to be that guy....but it looks like they sent down Jackson and Touki. So Pache is staying up to not play more? With Acuna up you have two guys who can play CF on the Roster....

Pache, Acuna, Duvall in the OF would be something over an OF with Ozuna in it.

You can be that guy. And it sucks to see Pache wasted as a backup but it's likely he's sent down once Neck is back.

gotta love how well Keuchel is pitching for the White Sox.
where was that 1.69 BB/9 control last season?
