I know a woman in her 20s who is left of center and woke (and a mix of several minorities to boot) who just got hired by NY State Police. She passed all their exams well over a year ago and has been patiently waiting to be hired. Demographics is destiny, even for the police. But that is an extra slow process for police and we need to find ways to speed up a change of culture.

really, i mean, you have to be bad at school and hope the system allows you to still take peoples rights and abuse power and if you are a white supremacist like a good portion

they let you kill black and brown folks

it ain't hard to recruit that. it's why the origins of cops was easy to get them to hunt runaway slaves.

now, it might be tougher to change the system and get cops that don't want to abuse power etc though

99% of our cops are black, so I’m not entirely sure this applies to everyone

And I think by now we know they kill whites too.... i don’t think that’s unreasonable to say.

no one said whites don't get killed too

by proportion, it's no where close though

it's also a terrible indictment that we as a country just go "yeah, cops kill people of all colors" in this country.
