Around the League 2020 Edition

Nola just went six up, six down, all strikeouts.

Young Rogers for the Marlins thus far mostly matching him.

But just to jinx Nola: How would the record books reconcile Nola throwing a seven-inning perfecto?

Nola only has 5 Ks out of 6 hitters. 7 inning perfecto or no hitters are not acknowledged.

Mariners have seen enough of our old pal Mallex to decide to outright him all the way out of their 60-Man pool - sent him to Tacoma. Looks like he'll be joining the free-agent pool this winter.

I miscounted—forgot Aguilar line out to end the first.

But I'm not sure about your second point, since under the current rules those seven innings constitute a complete game.

The Flipadelphians look like they're definitely going to take game-one today, with Nola dealing, and now up 9-0.

Not necessarily a bad thing, considering the ideal outcome for Cobb County is something like a 4-3 series win for Miami.

They said in the Anderson debut that Mlb already said a seven inning no hitter won’t count as a no no unless it goes 9 innings.

Pitchers will not get credit for a no hitter in 7 inning games unless it goes all the way to 9 in extras. That’s official from MLB. Was talked about earlier this year.

i rarely bet but put money on a parlay of the moneylines for the Mets, Rays, Phillies, and White Sox last night. pitching was too good vs bad teams with bad pitching.
it was a great ****ing night.

Looks as if we'll miss DeGrom next weekend, currently hes scheduled to go Thursday at Philly.

The worst case scenario for the Braves is for the Mets to get hot and we meet up with them in the first round. It would be great to take care of business next week against them.

Meh, i think BEST case they would get the 8th spot. Dont see how they would get the 7th spot. They're 21-25 and have 14 games left, they'd have to get stupid hot to even have a chance. Mets finish with 1 more at Tor, 3 at Phi, 3 vs Atl, 3 vs TB and 4 at Was. I doubt they get in.

They are 2.5 games behind a mediocre Giants team. One hot steak and they are there.

Magic numbers are now 9 for playoffs and 12 for division. It feels like they should be lower, but the Braves have played more games than every team behind them.
