Reading the way the MLB Playoffs are set up this year, should certainly be interesting. Most interesting is that there don't appear to be any days off during the Wild Card Round, NLDS, and NLCS.
So essentially you need at minimum a four man rotation to survive those rounds, and that is if you plan to bring back your game 1 starter on short rest for game 5.
Really provides a different twist on a playoffs who previously favored rotations who were top heavy.
After the initial series the Dodgers could stay in the same city throughout the playoffs. Hmm....

I wish we had traded for Taijun Walker. He was lit last night.
Honestly, baseball owners might be the worst money grubbers.
sounds like the Commissioner and owners want to keep the long playoff format and that's just gross.
I actually enjoy most of the rule changes this season, but playing 162 games and then letting half the league make the playoffs is crazy. Particularly with short series for everyone in the first round.
If they wanna do expanded playoffs, shorten season to round 100 games.

Do we all agree they will keep the 26 man and DH going forward.

I agree that those will also be adopted. I like the 3-batter rule for relief pitchers and I thought I would hate the extra-inning rule more than I do.

The 3 batter rule was already in place before COVID.
I do too also like the 7 inning double headers. Toss up on the extra inning. I hate 16 inning marathons. But I hate as a road team you have to score or you are most likely done.
No. I hate this shortened season. I like playing everyone in the league. That is one thing I hate about the NFL. One good team in a crappy division gets 6 easy games. 150 games maybe.
