Around the League 2020 Edition

Being in North Dakota, everyone is a Twins fan and all the sports talk radio is Minneapolis based so there’s a ton of Twins talk. Fans and local analysts have just been brutal to Donaldson about his dirt kicking episode.

gotta respect the game

Didn’t the twins lose that game. Maybe he should get heat for being a freaking idiot and getting kicked out of a close game. Sure it is funny but it was extremely stupid and did nothing to help his team. Selfish bullsht really.

Meh. Umpire was an asshole that day and thought the game was about him.

Asking a question can get you kicked out of a game these days. Was it dumb? Sure. But the umps are out of control and generally bad right now.

Won’t argue that. They are. And josh probably got mad about something home plate ump said when he turned on strike two. But kicking dirt is going to get you tossed from every ump every time. That was dumb.

I was curious. Have they determined the draft order for 2021? Is it going to be based on a 60 game finish?

Good question. There was a thread a while back about changes that may be in the offing for major league baseball and one I would suggest would be having the draft order determined on some kind of rolling average where W/L over a number of seasons would govern placement as opposed to results from a single season.

That would mean the world champion Nats get a the 4th pick after 60 games played - just about where they were 60 games in in 2019.
