Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

enjoy the bragging rights while they last

in February the top 10 highest unemployment rates included: Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Alaska, Ohio, Arizona

i'm sure the natural order of things will reassert itself soon enough

Dems managed to kill the most people and the most jobs.

Impressive, I guess

what are the unemployment numbers not during a pandemic?

see the post just above yours, but i'm happy to see the advocates of those winning red state policies get their day in the sun...it can't be fun championing policies that have helped produce such poor and backwards places

7 of the 10 highest unemployment rates in February were red states

the four highest were Alaska (5.8), Mississippi (5.4), Louisiana (5.2) and West Virginia (4.9)...the national average was 3.5

Thank you for putting in context how much job devastation the Dem states have had since the pandemic.

One would assume that would have at least saved more lives, but that didn't happen either. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Just awful leadership with a consistent anti-liberty ideology

my son (san francisco) and mother (sacramento) both assure me they have all the electricity they need...they appreciate your concern

Put me on the list of people that dont get your obsession with California electricity.
You act as if this was something that just popped up, yet history has a story to tell.
That has nothing to do with who occupies the Governor's Mansion

A lesson in the history of and frequency of blackouts in general would serve you well

gives new meaning to Red States

perhaps our crack investigative team will research the number of (R) controlled legislature and Governorships that are costing New York and California so much in tax dollars to care for these fat (R) states.

Not joking, the Confederacy --- I mean deep South Red States are pools diabetes and obesity

To be fair, the areas of S Dakota and Oklahoma that show excessive obesity are areas populated by Indian Reservations.
Native Americans kinda like bloodlines of those of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras etc.

Which is a whole other civil rights discussion
/////

Wondering how many here knew that the two prominent models for the extermination of Jews,Gypsies , intellectuals etc that was the Holocaust was
The genocide of the Armenians by the Turks and the treatment of Native Americans by European Americans.

So, I kinda gotta tongue in cheek give those two states a pass because, they were just following orders
They --- like today's McConnell and Graham et al --- were not so hot at keeping their word.
And left generations of people to --- I dont even know what the word is to describe what European Americans did to those people

and if they are African Americans ??

What difference does that make
/////

Like S Dakota and Oklahoma, how did those red states heavily populated by African Americans come to be heavily populated by African Americans ?

I'm just worried about the great people of California... who are unemployed, not allowed to have people at their homes, having smoke filled air, must unplug their appliances at 3pm bc of energy regulation, and cant take a lyft or uber due to regulation.

Not a great trend.
