GDT: 9/24 Marlins @ Braves : Is this game happening at some point?

For the winter 2020 edition of the Alex Anthopolous Annual One-Year Reclamation Project, Pederson would seem to make a lot of sense.

He is a Dodgers disciple. So of the Dodgers would be willing to let him go for cheap, not sure AA would want him.

I mean we have Acuna, Duvall will be back no doubt....Pache waiting. Still likely have Ender.. Do we really need him??

Duvall needs to be platooned. His 24% HR/FB is the only thing propping his numbers up against righties. The rest of his stats are garbage against them this year. And of course there is an entire career worth of numbers showing he needs to be platooned. Joc has a career 128 WRC+ against righties. It's like the perfect match.

Of course it all depends on price. But a strict platoon of Joc and Duvall likely gets you ~3.5 WAR. Duvall would be in year 3 of arbitration and Joc of course would be on the open market.

Markakis should not be back. Duvall as a platoon with a LH OFer like Brantley as an example. Have to see how Pache and Waters do over the winter. Ender will at least start the season with Braves unless a miracle occurs. Will be interesting to see what Ozuna commands. First priority still has to be a viable MLB pitcher.

I'd like Brantley, but I think he'll be too pricey. Lots of questions about the OF over the winter.

nsacpi were all over a Joc Pederson acquisition a couple of years ago. Curious to see what his price will be. Strictly a platoon guy, but has shown he can hit. He's had a miserable year, which makes me wonder what his price will be.

He's pretty much the same guy as (mega) Duvall.

But reverse. Good option to replace Nick.
