GDT : Braves vs Reds game 2

If I am seeing the schedule right the NLDS is 5 games in 5 days? Games 1 and 2 might as well be must win games and hope for a prayer in the last 3.

Yes you should be correct. No days off during the series until the LCS. Game 1 is Tuesday so the Braves will have a good break. Marlins and Cubs postponed today so game 2 is tomorrow. Let’s hope they go to a game 3.

One thing that used to hurt us in the postseason was that the depth of our pitching staff was neutralized by a short series format, and other teams that had more top-heavy rotations could just ride their aces. Not quite the same situation here, of course, but the starting staff looks better when you don't have to start guys like Milone, Newcomb, Folty, Wilson or Touissaint.

Probably Fried, Anderson, Wright, and Opener in Game 4. Ideally win the first 3 but nothing the Braves do in the playoffs is ideal.

On the flipside, we have a pretty deep bullpen, so we dont need a ton of innings from our starters. Minter, Matzek, O'Day, Greene, Melancon, Martin, Smith, and mix and matching guys like Webb, Dayton.

btw chosen one has yet to reveal the full story let alone take responsibility for game 5 last year

just sayin

i guess that's one of the secrets he'll be taking to the grave
