GDT: NLCS Game 2 Braves vs Dodgers 10/13

Anyone think there is a chance if Braves win tonite Wilson could start game 4 to rest some of pen then go back to top of rotation?

If we win tonight....BIG IF, I would think hard about a Bobby Cox Sunday line up.

Going Ynoa or Wilson for 2x through with a piggy back of Tomlin. Start Flowers at Catcher. Try to Go Ynoa for 3, Tomlin for 2, Dayton, Webb and then see where we are.

If we are up 3-0, then I'm planning on keep Max and Ian on regular rest and pitching Wilson in game 5. Maybe that is punting two games and it seems very dangerous. But I'd feel better having to win 1 game of 2 with Max and Ian and all our pen guys then patching together everything.

I think the problem is there's not a good option for us for game 4. We just have to pick the least objectionable option.

yeah, unfortunately there's basically no one else to go with. but, winning these first two allows you the luxury to save Fried and Anderson for full rest. if you can somehow manage to steal a game in between, you're golden.

i said it earlier in this thread, but i think the Braves will hit Urias tonight. i expect Wright to get hit, but the Braves are scoring some runs tonight as well.

I'm tired of hearing the "analysts" saying the Dodgers' bats have woken up. While that may be true, they likely won't see Tomlin or O'Day the rest of the series unless it's an extreme blowout either way.

After facing so many arms throwing high 90's Tomlin's pitches probably looked like beach balls up there. Tomlin also wasn't particularly sharp. When you're a guy with an 89 MPH fastball and you don't locate, any team is going to hammer you.

Certainly possible. I'd have to think it would be Ynoa or Wilson starting G4 either way. Maybe Fried goes on 3 days rest in G5 if needed

Tomlin also hadn't pitched since September 27th. So it wasn't surprising to see he wasn't sharp at all.

Need to get 4 innings out of Wright. If we are behind after four, it will be guys like Dayton, Greene and Webb finishing up the game. If we are ahead or tied, we'll see Smith and Melancon. Either way, I think Snit will avoid using Martin and Matzek.

Game 4, I think the plan will be to get a combined 4 inninings from Ynoa and Wilson. And take it from there.

Don’t worry... Wright gives us 7

Would be nice to see Acuna get hot. We all know he can carry a team when he's feeling it. Crazy that we are 7-0 these playoffs and Acuna / Ozuna have postseason OPS's of 776 and 637.

Really like our line-up going against a lefty today

I think Travis looks a little tired. There were a couple blocking spots where he didn't move like he should and he's not hitting this week. DH him today and play Flowers against the lefty Urias.

I think that was a consideration. Give him some work, with an eye on having him possibly start game 5.

I'm certain it was. Question now is, did he get the carbon out of his system or should we avoid him if possible.

I tend to think he'd be OK , but we have more scintillating options.
