Obama ran the best campaign of any presidential candidate in our lifetimes. He bucked the party pick via grassroots and then rode that on to smoke in the election in a way no one anticipated.

Democrats need to make sure if lawyers get to go through Blue counties looking ballot by ballot for excuses to throw them out they get equal access to Red counties to do the same. I am all for making sure we get an accurate count but not down for just recounts and fishing expeditions in only blue counties.

This is honestly the exact result I was hoping to avoid. The last thing we needed was a close race decided by late counted mail in ballots. This fits the narrative Trump was laying before the election that there would be vast voter fraud in mail in ballots. This is compounded by the fact that virtually all of these slow to be counted mail in ballots are coming from Democrat strongholds.
Whether there was actual voter fraud or not doesn't matter. The groundwork before the election paired with the way this has played out gives enough traction for people expecting fraud to see it. I was hoping for a quick, decisive victory by one of the candidates to avoid this situation.
One thing I think needs to be implemented before the next presidential election is mail in ballots need to start being counted a week before the election. No results should be posted, but they need to be processed so we don't have this exact situation happen again.
