I am far from progressive but trying to run as Republican-lite is a losing strategy imo. You have to offer people something different. Thats why I said Bernie has a much better chance before the virus than Biden. The Biden wing of the party just let Trump proclaim himself economic jesus with no fight whatsoever. Theres plenty of people unhappy with the system even in good times.

Bernie Sanders brand of progressivism (revolution through policy) is really refreshing. It's a much more appealing message to working class white voters than the "we have a white problem in this country" that a segment of Democrats have latched onto.

Thats because Trump knows how to dominate the narrative. Republicans have done a much better job controlling the narrative over the years but Trump has taken it to an extreme. Democrats will be oblivious to their sides issues too if the candidate controls the narrative.

She tried in her candidacy to embrace Sanders platform and nothing about it seemed genuine at all, so she resorted to the identify politics (calling Biden a racist).
She was chosen because she was a POC woman that the Dems foolishly thought would swing votes. She will get creamed in the 2024 primaries (even if she takes over for Biden mid-term)
