I think if they really try it ain't gonna be hard to find a few thousand fraudulent votes in a couple states.

Biden needs to run it up a bit more

Our local (D) began last night and is as we speak strategizing get out the vote for runoffs.

Is energized a word ?

If the Republicans can win both Georgia Senate races (and I think they have a good chance) or even if they win one, I think this election couldn't have gone any better for them long term. They'll retain control of the Senate (which will help maintain their gains in the judiciary) and made significant inroads in the house. They also did well in state legislatures that will be redrawing districts soon due the census.

With Biden winning the Democrats are going to be at a significant disadvantage in the mid-terms (sitting presidents losing in mid-term elections is very much the norm). That would give the Republicans a very good shot at keeping the Senate in 2022 AND flipping the house.

Then in 2024, you'll either have an elderly Biden or likely Harris running for the Democrats. Neither is a particularly exciting candidate.

Finally, the Republicans will be rid of Trump and his shenanigans. While I don't expect him to disappear, he wont be president and so wont be leading the party.

Lots of Republicans will be putting on a sad public face at Trump losing and yet will be dancing in private.

The GOP party looks stronger after this election, especially in the house. There was no blue wave. This election was 100% suburbanites didn’t like Trump antics.

Not if they lose the Senate runoff in GA. Dems lost a little in the house but look to have gained seats in the Senate. If they manage to pull off the upset and gain Senate control, I don't see how anyone could claim the GOP party looks stronger.

I do too (and hopeful that is the case) but I think it's a bit premature to say that Republicans have gotten stronger this election. In reality, both parties gained a little in each house, while a Republican POTUS lost re-election. If Dems do manage to get Senate control, this is a pretty big gut punch to the Republicans.

i think best dems can hope for is 1 of 2

I think that as well. I think Perdue beats Osoff easily. Warnock and Loeffler is more interesting. Loeffler has been controversial from the start and hasn't done a lot to make herself look better. Some Republicans might vote for Perdue and then not cast a ballot in the other race.

If pressed, I'd still predict the Republicans take both as turnout probably favors them but the Dems taking one of two is very possible.

Republicans got stronger in states and congress.

Got weaker in the white house.

Pretty good trade, I'd say

Democrats gaining in the Senate isn't surprising. The map heavily favored he Democrats this turn. If the Republicans can keep the Senate with so many vulnerable candidates it's a huge win for them even if they lost seats.

However, if the Dems managed to flip both of Georgia's seats then it's a huge blow to Republicans as it would give the Democrats control of government for two years.

as far as Russia, i believe the trump campaign coordinated and communicated with them. i believe Russia put out disinformation to help donald trump (this is less of a belief and is an objective fact). i believe they hacked emails of dems and republicans, and released dem emails with the purpose of helping trump get elected.

that doesn't mean i believe (and i don't, and i never said otherwise), that the votes weren't the votes. that doesn't mean i believe the 2016 election should be invalidated. he lost the popular vote but won the electoral college.

what trump is trying to do right now is invalidate votes, as the sitting president, and hopes judges he appointed oblige him. the votes are the votes. he wants to negate them because he lost. there is massive difference.
