It wasn't bad. Maybe to Dalyn's surprise the "hymn" bit aggravated me. I'm not a fan of American-Civil Religion, be it the "denomination" found in the Religious Right, the "denomination" within African-American churches and Mainline churches pushing Democrats, or be it advocated by candidates or by Biden on stage. It's fake or syncretistic and I'm a fan of neither. I'd much prefer someone who actually holds knowledgeably to a faith, doesn't equate that with being 'Merican, but also doesn't put it into a little cubby-hole for a hour or two a week.
His age showed a bit. But no biggie.
Harris' speech I thought was quite good and though I'm against her policy-wise on plenty, I felt the same sort of thing I did watching the Black Panther movie in the theater, and when Obama gave his acceptance speech -- a bit of joy for fellow citizens to whom it meant so much to see someone like them there.
