And the Shia are predominately Persian. And your "yeah but" is beside the point. ME Arab-Jew tensions have been lowered whether the Left wants to acknowledge that or not. This administration for all of its faults, hasn't exacerbated those tensions. Going backward is a very distinct possibility under a Biden-liberal-internationalist foreign policy.

I remember seeing a campaign ad for Biden essentially saying I'd you elect Biden he'll end covid. I laughed and laughed.

First, the idea that we can end covid that easily is sheer hubris. Our chances to stop it we're when it the few days after it first jumped to people, when we get an effective vaccine, and when it naturally dies down.

Second, the president can't do a whole lot to fight it. He can throw money at it, that's about all. Most public health powers are left to the states. I read Biden's plan and it's anemic response shows pretty clearly the lack of power.

Israel is still bombing the West Bank. The difference is that now Israel is being selective and using it's hatred of Iran to join with the Arab league's hatred of Iran.

Would have been fantastic if the media did their job and asked at least one tough question to Biden.

It’s all a game and they are moving chess pieces. Once’s everyone accepts that then there is nothing that seems to far fetched to imagine that they’d do for power.

Fluornoy is a great pick, she has plenty of experience and is widely respected. It's nice to see one of these historic firsts that's based on merit instead of the usual identity politics.
