@cajunrevenge Another from the standard bearer for the party of identity politics:
“There are people who support the president because they like the fact that he is engaged in the politics of division,” he added. “They really support the notion that, you know, all Mexicans are rapists and all Muslims are bad and ... dividing this nation based on ethnicity, race. This is the one of the few presidents who succeeded by deliberately trying to divide the country, not unite the country.”

Or I mean they could like his foreign policy and trade efforts.

Or yeah they could all just be bigots. There is no in between

They may even just be sick of hearing what a racist/bigot/misogynist they are, or they may not like the gun grabbing comments, or they could disagree with racial preferences, or they may hate the idea of packing the Court, or adding states.... just incredible.

Then stop perpetuating the belief.

Simple as that. Don’t add to the hate. Mitigate

Well if supporting Michelle's entirely truthful statement implies that I'm adding to hate, it is an easy choice for me. Strange world when speaking the truth becomes a hateful act.

I would like to think that if I was ever faced with a situation where a president aligned with me on the issues but spewed hate, lies and disinformation and undermined our democracy, I would find the resolution not to support that person.

Like if a candidate referred to 47ish percent of the country as deplorable, am I right?

what is this parallel here you are drawing...i just don't see it

the whataboutism is strong in supporters of very poorly chosen one...very strong

Hillary says something wrong and that somehow equates to what we have been seeing the past 4 years...gmafb

It's not Hillary. It's Hillary, and Michelle, and Barack, and Joe, and multiple D congresscritters, and every media outlet that isn't either FOX, WSJ, or obscure.

It's the majority of loudmouths on social media, it's >99% of celebrities, it's pro athletes and arenas before and during games, it's the professors that are supposed to be educating their kids.

Being called ugly names for their faith or their belief in cultural norms that have existed for millennia, or for the color of their skin, or for believing borders should mean something, or for using the word rioters to describe crowds who loot and burn, or for any reason that leads them away from the PC groupthink is inescapable and unending.

And you know all of this. You made your choice and now want to act like everyone who didn't do the same is something to scrape off your shoe. Give yourself that break.

I'm reminded that nsacpi selectively called red staters chuckleheads and toothless rednecks.

But he restrained from that same charge for blue staters and Europeans for committing the same data

very poorly chosen one as a therapeutic means of salving psychic injury and insult. It's probably the best single explanation for the past 4 years. So let's drop the pretense about trade and immigration policy.

didn't realize y'all were such a bunch of snowflakes

apologies in advance to anyone whose feelings get hurt by this latest bit of name calling on my part

Europeans are suave and sophisticated...except for the ones who are chuckleheads

we have plenty of chuckleheads upstate and some in queens and staten island

there is an entire population in this country that whines about being disrepected and has resolved to fix that particular problem by acting in ways that no self-respecting person would...tis a paradox
