For many it isn't a matter of not seeing it or not caring. It's seeing it, disliking it, and still believing he's a vastly better option than the opposition.

i kinda understand that...but at some point the grotesque incompetence, corruption and mendacity has to become too much...no?...or is Hillary/the Dems such a threat that there is no conceivable point when it becomes too much

i mean we have a guy right now who has been trying to steal an election...nothing subtle about it...and entirely in character...the only saving grace is his incompetence...i guess that's ok considering the alternatives

And thats honestly why Biden was the right guy for this election. He was/is as moderate as it gets. Trump did the work recruiting the left and far left to vote for Biden.

The post election nonsense has brought me to the point where I'm not sure I could vote for him again, not that it matters now.

the thing is the post election nonsense is entirely in character...it follows naturally from everything that we have seen the past four years

Trump did the work recruiting the left and far left to vote for Biden.

He also did a fantastic job recruiting the people who voted for credibly accused creepy joe while voting Republican further down the ballot. A masterful job.

Still leaves me wondering about the 73 million who voted for him, including my mother.

I don't disagree with that. I believe in the end it will be a lot of thunder without much lightning, as his talk usually is, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

his incompetence really has been a saving grace...a blessing from Allah as some of my friends put it

I can't speak to Iowa and Ohio. But I think the Florida result was helped by the Venezuelan and Cuban vote who clearly have a history with socialism.

But in general I think there was a portion of the population who never voted before that hated Trump and went to vote him out. They have no interest in the rest of the ballot and these people likely won't vote in future elections either. The pro Trump crowd are likely very invested in stopping socialism among other things and voted straight red down the ballot.

Biden won and won it fairly. I do think this election points to a red wave in the mid-terms though.

I agree with the FL explanation. I would add to that Biden threatening more lockdowns is more detrimental to a state like FL where tourism is more important to their economy than PA, MI, or WI. Particularly in the winter months where northerners flock to FL to escape the cold weather.
