The Coronavirus, not the beer

Why shouldn't New York (Pfizer) and Massachusetts (Moderna) keep the vaccines to themselves?

Or at least charge a market clearing price to other states and countries that want them?

The problems of those other states and countries are not theirs.

And most over consumption is caused by depression. These people need help. We no longer have to put our weak out in the woods in winter in order to survive. We can do better.

You know what we should do?

Lock down society.

Force you to wear a mask if you leave your home.

Leave the liquor stores open.

Encourage isolation instead of friends and family gatherings for the holidays.

Don't allow people to visit their sick or old relatives.

That's a lot of mask discussion. I don't really think the government should be able to make you wear a mask, but I don't really think they should have to either.

We can treat depression. I know. Personally. For the most part, the people you are talking about are untreated. Keep caring now that the lockdown is over, and maybe there will be fewer and fewer left untreated.
 
I bet we could make healthcare drastically less expensive and save a ton of money by paying people to exercise. Send everyone a Fitbit, let them upload exercise data with their taxes, and tack on tiered tax breaks for certain levels of activity. Lots of physical and mental health issues would be cured without medication.

I agree with most of this, but you cannot cure mental health issues without medication.

What do you think when a politician insists we citizens need and must wear one, but they themselves don't?
