To be clear this thread is title Doomsday watch because Civil War watch doesnt sound as good imo. Now that its clear the Republicans are trying to stage a coup I am going to raise the % chance from a zero number to a non zero number. So who around here supports trying to block certification of the votes in states Biden won to get him under 270 to get around the vote? If successful, which I highly doubt it would be, we are in for some bad times. Where are the people who laughed at the notion that Trump wouldnt leave peacefully, because this is not leaving peacefully. Anyone without their head in the ground knows Trumps legal challenges will continue to fail. They are only meant to add to the narrative so they can try and block certification.

it is a farcical coup attempt...but that should not obscure the fact it is indeed a coup attempt

The hilarious thing is this thread has gotten more attention over hypothetical violence from the right than the very real violence from the insane left over all of 2020.

yeah a few riots is a much bigger deal than people trying to overthrow the government. What was I thinking. You can whine about the leftist riots all you want but the Teflon Don fanned those flames to get as much violence and destruction out of it so he could scare people like you into voting for him.

from where i sit i see an attempt to overturn an election result that has nothing to do with credible allegations of voter fraud...aka a coup attempt...the fact that it is (so far) a farcical coup attempt doesn't change the fact that this is what it is

oh and one more small detail...the leader of the coup attempt is very poorly chosen one

The protests were overwhelmingly peaceful and some of the violence was by RW groups. If I was like you and thethe I would post 1 incident of RW violence in the protests and proclaim that ALL the violence was by RW groups. Thats how you to operate.



No one has a problem with investigating election fraud. The issue is that when they lose their legal battles they are going to try and get partisans to block the certification based on unproven allegations.

This is the coup attempt. Probably won't succeed. Is often farcical. But it is a coup attempt. An attempt to overturn an election result without any valid reason for doing so.

Cops are overwhelmingly peaceful but that didn't stop you from creating a thread on the ones that aren't.
