Gausman threw 60 very effective innings in 2018, and then had terrible results over 80 innings in 2019 despite peripherals that suggested he was pitching much better than his results. He then proceeded to right the ship literally the moment he left Atlanta.

Nothing about getting Gausman for a group a guys you can't even name without looking them up was stupid.

I remember that day we were all thinking that Archer was coming to Atlanta....in fact, most of us were positive that was the case. Then we saw the Pirates gave them the world....Gausman for what we gave up is still lightyears better than the Archer deal at the time.

Well it's a bit more complicated than that. Don't forget the Braves have a ton of debt associated with the Battery. I'm not sure how it works or where they pay down the debt from, but yea on the surface that news is not as bad as it seems. The real issue is the losses from ticket sales this year.
