The Coronavirus, not the beer

I feel like a broken record on this, but the House Ds passed two Covid relief bills

months and months ago. Senate Rs don’t like those bills, but for months and months

as people suffered and died they haven’t amended the House bills

or moved any legislation of their own.

The tweeter neglected to mention that the House bills were full of non COVID lefty wishlist items, like a national ban on voter ID requirements, or reinstating the SALT caps. Even progressive House members were frustrated with Nancy's unwillingness to pass something reasonable, that's what led to Wolf Blitzer actually acting like a journalist when he interviewed her a few weeks ago.

This has been explained to him at least 3 times now

Yeah the stimulus issue was more on the dems IMO.

There is no issue until (R) puts something on the table.
As in a Senate passed bill to be reconciled

Don't believe the hype
(R) is demanding (D) negotiate against themselves on (R) terms.
This is actually what opposition spine looks like

A bipartisan group of senators on Tuesday proposed a $908 billion coronavirus stimulus package, in one of the few concrete steps toward COVID relief made by Congress in several months.

I can definitely work with funneling money toward Unemployment and Small Business instead of blanket issuing of checks. I received a check in the spring but I’ve never lost employment and in fact have come out ahead financially due to the situation. Any money for relief should be going to those affected by COVID, not people like me with stable employment.

Yep. I'm in the same situation as you and of the same opinion. I'm hopeful that something rational will be done now that the election is mostly over to help the multitude that needs it.

Since states are imposing the economic pain then states should be the ones responsible for the bailouts

The states have no skin in the game

So the panic crowd is going to ignore that it’s now been verified that ccp virus was here months earlier and we didn’t have a freak out reaction?

If not for the awful policies of the dem governors in the north east nobody would be thinking about this virus.

According to the CDC, all cause deaths:

2020: 2,602,812

2018: 2,839,205

We still have a month to close that gap... but I'm really glad we shut down society and obliterated basic liberty to stop this

Are you controlling for Net Neutrality in 2018? That killed thousands.

I haven't been around for a couple weeks as I've been recovering from the Rona. I had it gifted to me by a niece whose parents don't take covid seriously and so they brought their sick kid to a family gathering. I can tell you that you don't want to get this bug. I can see how this is killing people. Its been two weeks and I'm still suffering from various symptoms (particularly fatigue and brain fog at this point). Stay safe out there guys and don't let other who aren't taking it seriously cause you to get this thing.

Your commitment to the hoax is admirable. I also have family who tried to give me the virus through ignorance. My grandpa and step-grandmother both have it atm.

My parents have it. Step mom is a candidate A for having trouble with it. Shes a two time lung cancer survivor, but is missing 1\3 of one lung and lungs and esophagus are mostly scar tissue. Shes frail and sickly as is. If she makes it... I just don't know what to think. Her issues from chemo and radiation should make it tough on her. So far so good though. They are about a week in.

That's rough. I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

There were 10 people at the family gathering I caught Covid at. Of the 10 people, 9 caught it. The only one that didn't catch it was my mother in law who has multiple health issues that would make it very dangerous for her to catch it.
