Georgia Senate Runoff

The childless also benefit from increased return on real estate investments in areas with higher quality schools.

The New Georgia Project, a voter registration group formerly led by Georgia Democratic Senate candidate Raphael Warnock, is under investigation for allegedly sending ballot applications to non-residents, the Georgia secretary of state said Monday.

Warnock was CEO of the group, which was originally founded by failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, until February. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the group, and three others, are under investigation for improper registration activities.

While Raffensperger, a Republican who has been vocal in debunking President Trump’s claims of election fraud, said that he has not seen signs of widespread, systemic fraud, there is evidence of “third-party groups working to register people in other states to vote here in Georgia.”

Raffensperger said the New Georgia Project “sent voter registration applications to New York City,” in a potential violation of state law.
...
Three other voter registration groups are also under investigation, Raffensperger said, including America Votes, which allegedly sent “absentee ballot applications to people at addresses where they have not lived since 1994.”

Vote Forward allegedly registered a dead Alabama voter in Georgia while Operation New Voter Registration Georgia is accused of recommending college students temporarily change their residency for the purpose of voting in the state.

No fraud to see here, and if it were, it was the Russians trying to help Rs

ETA... for real though, the penalty for illegal voting is 1-10 years and up to $100k fine. I bet if you prosecuted 250 people very publicly, and hit them with a $100k fine and 5 years in prison, this crap would end. No one loves a politician that much.

That's kind of a tricky one. Real estate returns probably are tied to where the quality of the schools/per dollar spent is rising or falling. And of course if you are a childless person who doesn't own a house, that would not matter. As a father of three, I'm fine with screwing the childless. But we shouldn't kid ourselves. They do get screwed.

Oof.

"stop the steal" rally in Georgia with Sidney Powell telling voters not to vote for Loeffler and Perdue. Love it. Take the senate down with you! Linn Wood pushing a Sidney Powell/convicted felon Michael Flynn for 2024 ticket. lololol

FIF! Of all the Amendments, I can only choose one.....FIF!

But but voter suppression boogie monster!

How can you be suppressed if people will register you if you don't even live in the state.

That's the last i'll hear of voter suppression here without dying laughing.

I don't know this Warnock fellow. I really don't - he could be literal Jesus 2.0. BUT -Its not really a secret that pastors of large churches really get looked after at election time. And by looked after, I mean pockets. The "goodness of their hearts" or the "right thing" ends up being in their wallet very often.

Laughing at the Trump tards is my current hobby sir. I have waited 3 years to watch this meltdown. Having a good time and making enough money off of it to buy a new car.

Oh look

Republicans, again, the ones actually committing voter fraud or talking about it

An examination of Mr. Perdue’s stock trading during his six years in office reveals that he has been the Senate’s most prolific stock trader by far, sometimes reporting 20 or more transactions in a single day.

The Times analyzed data compiled by Senate Stock Watcher, a nonpartisan website that aggregates publicly available information on lawmakers’ trading, and found that Mr. Perdue’s transactions accounted for nearly a third of all senators’ trades reported in the past six years. His 2,596 trades, mostly in stocks but also in bonds and funds, roughly equal the combined trading volume of the next five most active traders in the Senate.

The data also shows the breadth of trades Mr. Perdue made in companies that stood to benefit from policy and spending matters that came not just before the Senate as a whole, but before the committees and subcommittees on which he served.

i doubt seriously Abrams or Warnock register voters, as in give them the forms and collect signatures
over zealous supporters perhaps, ... perhaps
If this allegation ( not the laptop --- this time ) had legs, it would be headlines everywhere --- not only fringe blogs and obscure twitter feeds
and, how far behind , kinda in the shadows is James O'Keefe ?
////

but again, I doubt seriously Abrams or Warnock or Perdue or Loeffler for that matter are registering voters
////

did you have anything else to say ?

I mean the guy investigating it was on the news yesterday verifying this is very much has substance as one of his staffs relatives was registered illegally in another state. I don’t remember what he said exactly but the UGA grad with the glasses.

But of course you think your side can’t do wrong. Of course
