I really believe that the very rich are disliked enough now that most of America would be on board with significant redistribution. The Hollywood stars filming commercials from their 5 star resort backyards to tell families in apartments to stay home and that we're all in this together was incredibly tone deaf. Mayors and governors locking down commoners while they eat at trendy restaurants, go on Caribbean vacations, and visit the salon added quite a bit to that.
It's the social stuff and defund the police messaging that holds it all back.

that's what it would cost to produce that in the usa and pay people a fair wage
