Farewell, Cleveland Indians

I have another idea

How about the Atlanta Martins

pronounced marteenz...no one will confuse it with Marlins

We should give them something they like less as an alternative. Colonizers, Frontiersmen, or Conquistadors would work. I don’t want that but if the PC crowd wants to mess with something I like I say give them the finger and I’ll stand by them.

Connecticut, Cincinnati, Shawnee, OK, Tecumseh, MI, Cheyenne, WY, Sioux Falls, SD and on and on. What do you do with them when they become offensive to someone?

why would a place or mountain or river having a Native American language name be a problem

i live in a town whose name means "where the fresh water meets the salt water" in a Native American language...aside from outsiders having no clue as to how to pronounce it i don't think there is a problem

btw Cincinnati is named after Lucius Quintius Cincinnatus, a Roman political and military leader who came to embody civic virtue

White America will soon force all culture references to native Americans out of existence.

All these little snowflakes out here can't handle a simple change in organizational nomenclature. Amazing the soft, mushy feelings of some folks.
