He meant the one, not realizing that the official protesters killed by cop death toll from the Summer is one and not zero. I think I let him know, but I can't recall for sure.

Yes I saw your post buti was unable to find the story.

It is my understanding that zero people were killed. But its possible one was killed.

I.e, the same amount as yesterday.

Unfortunately zito has a kindergarten level of understanding

The reason we got Trump was because the Republican field in 2016 was too wide open. Look at the early election results.

Trump was getting results. But his base is about 1/3 of the republican base if even that much. A helathy chunk of those people probably wouldn't vote for Trump again. The majority would.

PErsonally I don't give a **** about Q Anon Trumpers.

I have said this before many times but I think the reason we got Trump was the establishment of both parties along with the media conspiring to stop anti-establishment candidates. This Trump movement could easily have been the Ron Paul movement instead. Trump to his credit was able to use that to his advantage and managed to break through that glass ceiling for unconventional candidates. A lot of Trump supporters are bandwagoners ala thethe. Trump, again, to his credit knew exactly how to play them.

I think the reason Trump was so successful was he was the first politician who literally would say anything. He'd fight back and insult people like his supporters get insulted.

Ron Paul, Bernie, others are a bit too polite to form a credible third party to galvanize a huge amount of disenfranchised people.

I think Ron DeSantis is similar to Trump but 1,000x more intelligent. I think there is a reason the media is setting its target on him. He is a threat to galvanize the Trump base much more competently

Should I have said "more person was killed"

?

There's a number of more correct ways you could have said it.

Like "someone was actually killed by cops" or "one person was actually killed" etc.

Or before you speak on a subject know what you're talking about.

Ahh thank your cleaning up my grammar to illustrate that zero people were killed by cops during the BLM riots, which is mathematically less than the at least 1 person killed on Wednesday

One third of the Republican base is almost 25 million Americans. That's still a MASSIVE number. It's enough people to carry a primary which is enough to impact the national political scene.

I think Trump appeals to more than just his hardcore base though. There are plenty who might have preferred others to Trump but who still were energized by his rhetoric.

Trump is a demagogue but demagogues need a receptive audience. Trump had that and that's a problem.

yeah...but i want them to respect and care about MY feelings...whose gonna take care of me when i feel disrespected

Our political leaders should. I'm not saying Trump supporters should be reached out to at the expense of others. I'm saying it should be the job of our political leaders to work hard to minimize the number of disaffected people out there. It's not an easy job but ignoring discontent, or worse, mocking it breeds trouble.

We're seeing that on the left too with a young, financially unstable demographic running towards socialists because the establishment is ignoring them.

1 confirmed death by police. Another highly probable death as someone was found death by gunfire at the scene of an "ambush" on an unmarked police car. And it depends on if you count Sean Monterrosa, And he didn't die but the black man who was given brain damage and put into critical condition by police firing blindly into a crowd. Or the lady who'd heart was stopped, was resuscitated, had a heart attack, but survived.

But you keep spilling your lies all you want. It's fine. No one with a brain believe a word you say.

I'm having trouble reconciling the original point of "if this were BLM protesters it would have been a massacre" with "there was 1 confirmed death in the hundreds of BLM protests all summer, the same amount as we saw in DC."

0 deaths, 1 death, 2 deaths... it's irrelevant. We don't ALWAYS have to make everything a fiery race baiting take. It's unnecessary and simply aims to divide (which I understand is the point).

By the way - can zito or jaw send me the link about the person killed in the summer? I haven't been able to find it but would like to read about it

Was BLM ever trying to lynch Congress while performing a critical function like certifying the vote? I think a lot of these people just wanted to yell at Congress but many of them did have violent intent to harm Congress and the VP. There is a red line where the will mow people down regardless of their affiliation like if people tried to swarm the White House.

I'm glad these folks are getting found and arrested.

I know of at least instances where BLM broke into supreme court and the federal building in Portland. I am not sure if they were caught or sentenced

To your other point, I've found myself wondering why trespassing congress is a redline where trespassing private property was encouraged/forgiven.

Anyhow... im off to san antonio for a week... Never been... if anyone has any good food recommendations, send em my way

I've never been either but a lot of people have me that the Riverwalk area is awesome. It's actually supposed to be cold for a few days but it'll probably rebound pretty quickly.
