If there is a non-public map, it would hardly be top secret. Thousands of people work in the building, new people are coming on all the time, they'd need to know where things are.

If there is a secret map and members of the house were helping these idiots, by all means toss them in jail. It just doesn't make a ton of sense right now.

I believe only caucus leaders have individual offices in the Capitol (see Pelosi desk picture) with everyone else housed in the various Congressional Office Buildings (Cannon, Russell, etc.). There is the "skin" of the building, which tourists can see and for which there is a map that includes exhibits and conference rooms, but there probably isn't a readily available map for the "bones" of the building which includes small, private conference rooms and security exits. Just a guess on my part, but if any staff member (partisan or otherwise) were caught distributing that map, it would be their last day on the job. Good question on your part for which I do not have an answer, but I am relatively certain that there are two maps of the building.

Hideaway offices are a jealously guarded privilege accrued via seniority. Junior members let alone outsiders don't know where they are.

I'm surprised and a little disappointed there has been no discussion about whether that was a noose awaiting Mike Pence or a slipknot.

Reports that a Capitol hill police officer committed suicide. Does this count as a covid death or do we blame the lockdowns?

Was he one that helped the insurrection?

If so, we should be proud that he had the courage to perform Seppuku

If he helped fight these traitors, it’s incredibly sad

I just noticed that my post was poorly phrased and want to apologize for that. Society's understanding of suicide has evolved over the years and with that evolution has come a shift in the language used to describe it. Died by suicide is a better way of expressing it.

I know that some of y'all have been triggered by other ways in which our language has been changing, so I want to also apologize for any unease that my little discussion above may cause to any of you.

if only we'd been more mindful of their grievances

PGA doing more than republicans in Congress about a president you tried to overthrow democracy

I really wish argumentative reasoning was taught in schools. Probably 95% of the posts I've seen where people think they've made a clever point are actually just fallacies.

Being upset about BLM violence doesn't mean you can't also be upset about this riot.

Being sympathetic to BLMs aims doesn't mean you agreed with the violence and so doesn't mean you can't condemn the violence now.

Comparing police responses to two events is anecdotal evidence and does not reveal patters.

Being upset by Benghazi doesn't mean you can't be upset by this riot.

And most importantly, agreeing with someone on some political policies does not mean you're guilty when they riot. People can agree on policy and disagree strongly on methods.
