The Coronavirus, not the beer

This will be the norm. Her risk of this virus is a known near 0%... and yet..

It’s not just that it’s not a risk to her. She is a low risk of having high viral loads to pass it along as well.

Asymptomatic spread has never been proven and yet we all follow along like sheep.

The pope is an agent of the CCP. Observing Catholics don’t respect him at all.

Holy ****

Lol

I’ve missed you being here thethe. I mean, others tried to step up your level in your shirt avsence

But they never produced comedy like this/you

Do we have an update on the mass arrests of super bowl mask people yet?

Do they have the police working in shifts yet?

Or did fraud boy freak out over nothing?

She’s doing better. Thankfully cough has stopped thus far and never developed a fever. She’s exhausted though.

I won’t feel better till we are 2 weeks out (only cause days 10-14 were the worst for me)

Hoping we stay on this course though. She already is trying to see when she can get back to work (obviously cause she’s lazy aetc like thethe and dc think of teachers) and I’m trying to tell her to rest and give it another week. Thanks for asking

Glad she's better. I guess I missed the original news. Sorry about that. One of the things about the Rona that I haven't heard much talked about is how you're sick for days (if you're lucky) but then somehow the virus just kinda slips away into the darkness to eff up someone else but when it leaves some of the symptoms like the extreme shortness of breath and the ongoing utter exhaustion just hang around for weeks or even months so you may not even know when you're not technically sick from the virus anymore and are just suffering from the "after-virus" for lack of a better term.

Glad she's doing better though. This is some nasty shi-ite no matter what anybody tells you.

that's one heck of an intervention...in the name of science twitter needs to lift to ban to see what happens

well you have come to the right thread...my post was offered partly in homage to the large body of posts of this type that populate this thread

It's so bad. Covid has been around a year and people act like every little change is absolute proof of something. We still know so little for sure.

The pattern since very poorly chosen one was banned from twitter is almost universal. January seasonal peak is a pretty common thing for viruses. Why? Weather and holiday related gatherings seem to be most obvious explanations.

I read a good thread today on twitter (it's got too much nuance to post around here) that suggests we are in a race in which seasonality + vaccines are racing against the spread of these new variants + tendency to relax on social distancing when cases fall. The experience of countries where these new variants took root earlier suggests they will be dominant here by end of March. So we could yet see another surge of cases in March.

I'll bet you that we have seen the 202q peak in cases already.

as I said January peak is pretty standard...maybe someone else will take you up on your bet

how about an alternative bet...per capita deaths in March will be higher in Florida and Texas than New York and California

Only a moron would take that bet after the testing thresholds were changed right as the admins were

Cases yesterday were down 75% from the January peak... this is despite the coldest temperatures of the year
