117th Congress

I voted for Warnock with the understanding he was one of 535 plus 1 that had to agree.
As I think anyone that has ever taken Civics in Jr High or Civics 101 in first year college.
Or are you one of those that only took statistics and business because you know, that is the only issue in life
(that was an assumption not a question )

If memory serves you voted for the guy that profited off of Covid
So, what is your point.. ??

When did Mexico start patrolling their border again? How much money did that save US taxpayers?

i just care about the benjamins they owe us for the wall...that's what i'm all about...i don't believe we should be building a free wall for them

I would think an economist would have a better understanding how expenses are paid.

First 2,000

Now 1,400

What will it be when it’s over?

I guess we’ll find out, but if it’s $1,400 I’m not going to split hairs on if it’s $2,000 combined or by itself. For what it’s worth, I oppose the direct payments, and would prefer that money be utilized for programs to help those impacted by the pandemic.

Since the power went out in Texas, the state’s most prominent Republicans have tried to pin the blame for the crisis on, of all things, a sweeping progressive mobilization to fight poverty, inequality and climate change.

“This shows how the Green New Deal would be a deadly deal,” Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas said Wednesday on Fox News. Pointing to snow-covered solar panels, Rick Perry, a former governor who was later an energy secretary for the Trump administration, posted on Twitter a quotation from a Forbes article by Robert Bryce, who wrote that “if we humans want to keep surviving frigid winters, we are going to have to keep burning natural gas — and lots of it — for decades to come.”

It was the very sort of freakish weather system now increasingly common, thanks to the unearthing and burning of fossil fuels like coal and gas. While the link between global warming and rare cold fronts like the one that just slammed Texas remains an area of active research, Katharine Hayhoe, a climate scientist at Texas Tech University, says the increasing frequency of such events should be “a wake up call.”

good advice from Ted...but also an amazing lack of self-awareness

I actually think Ted is self-aware, he just doesn’t give a ****. Anything he can do to be in power is worth it to him.

actually no...people who have known him are pretty consistent in describing him as maladjusted...a good recent example is a article i read that had a description of the dinner Nikki Haley had with him when she was trying to decide who to endorse in 2016...it was an awkward cringe worthy experience

That is a good statement in theory

It isn’t practical in reality though

Like communism or unfettered capitalism

Imo either make the filibuster ironclad so it cant be removed in the future or remove it. Republucans have shown they dont play hy the rules they expect Demixrats to. If by some miracle Trump wins in 2024 and they take both houses of congress I fully expect them to get rid of the filibuster and expand the supreme court justice number.

Just like after taking control of all 3 in 2016.

Oh you got me there, I had no idea Republicans had ever had the Presidency and Congress...... the way I have seen Trumpocrats operate is when Democrats just consider doing something they will then actually do it citing some Democrats wanting to do it as justification. Trump likely had no clue he could add justices. I guarantee you he will add justices if elected again.
