I read the article. It's from last year. It's not very well written. The main point the author is making is if you're attracted to a trans individual then you shouldn't try to cover it up.

However, this person is probably blaming too much of their rejection by men on social stigma and probably not willing to admit enough that a lot of men aren't attracted to that.
