Dude would be alive if he wasn’t hopped up on the drugs he was on.

What a joke.

Doesn’t excuse the tactics taught by the precinct but in no way should Chauvin be charged.

Dude would be alive if the breath wasn't crushed out of his body.

Here's an idea. You have what 3-4 cops on one unarmed black man with a heart problem. Why is one of them on his neck? Period. I don't care even if he was trained to do that, he wasn't trained to kill someone

You must have not watched the police video or known anyone who took meth

George Floyd only had a trace of meth in his bloodstream. He had a large amount of fentanyl in his system.

That amount of fentanyl can be fatal.

The way fentanyl kills is by shutting down the part of the brain that controls respiration. Breathing slows, then stops, followed by the heart.

If Floyd had ingested an opioid and fell asleep on his way toward an overdose death, he wouldn’t, or couldn’t, have spent the next 20 minutes coherently interacting with police, repeatedly describing his claustrophobia and anxiety, battling with them as they tried to put him in a squad car and struggling against the three officers who pinned him facedown on the street. Instead, he would have become even more sluggish on the path toward unconsciousness and death.

The entire incident until his death is just not the way people who overdose on an opioid react.

Opioid deaths are so common now that police are trained to recognize an opioid overdose and to administer naloxone when they see the symptoms. No one who interacted with Floyd saw any sign he was in that condition.

Isn’t the defense submitting police car video showing Floyd attempting to ingest an unknown substance? Not certain about this but thought I read this somewhere.

The toxicology report shows what he had in his system.

It was an explanation of the point you made saying he couldn’t have interacted with police with the drugs in his system from prior to the initial arrest.

Please exercise caution when echoing what the defense or prosecution of any case says they’ll be presenting. Their entire job is to convince people that they have evidence that proves someone’s guilt/innocence.

There has already been confirmed reporting that initial sweeps missed evidence in the police car.

What that means I don’t know but there is actual reason to believe that this is possible.

My guess is Chauvin will be convicted of one of the murder charges. I think the other officers have a good chance of acquittal.

Something being possible is different than something actually being accurate. I’m not following the case enough to say anything definitive, but I’m always wary of taking the lawyers on either side at face value.

I wonder if thethe would be so confident that poor health was why George Floyd died that he'd let someone kneel on his neck for 7 minutes?

Since the maneuver doesn’t kill anyone or come close to it and the police department taught them to do it then I don’t see what complaint I would have if I broke the law.

I’m absolutely shocked that Zito is pinning the blame on the officer an not the individual.

So unlike him.

Generation of entitled brats.

No I'm pinning the blame on the murderer. You're letting him off by blaming someone's health and his police department. Not the mother****er who's supposed to protect and serve who murdered a man.

Just say what you want to say. Stop dancing around it.

So you'd be fine with someone kneeling on your neck for 7 minutes. Say it. Don't dance around. Say that you would be fine with someone kneeling on your neck for 7 minutes.

If I was a criminal who forced an officer to restrain me then I wouldn’t have much of an option.
