I'm not concerned by those graphs at all. In military terms, quality is often far more important than quantity.
China has 60 submarines and the US has 68. China might surpass the US in number of subs before long. However, 50 of China's 60 subs are diesel attack subs. Far, far inferior to nuclear powered subs as they make far, far more noise. Every US sub is nuclear powered.
The capabilities of the surface ships are also not the same. Chinese military tech is improving, no doubt, but it still lags behind the US. This is especially true in command and control capabilities.
But perhaps the most lopsided of all are the aircraft carrier numbers. China has 2, the US has 11. American aircraft carriers also carry more planes and the catapult tech the US has allows American planes to carry more fuel and weapons and still achieve takeoff.
China is modernizing their navy and increasing its numbers. However, they still lag far behind the US in terms of capabilities. It's something we need to watch but it's hardly scary at this point.
