I mean if I wanted to I could have. I was excepted into every college I applied to and was applying into the engineering programs at said schools before deciding I didn't want to go 50K in debt to make money and pursued other methods. And it wasn't just state schools, aside from Rutgers, NJIT, etc. I was accepted into UMass AMherst, Georgia Tech and UMD-College Park. Latter was where my cousin went to school and I was thinking of going with him.
But again, I didn't want to do that. You see I could done all those things, but I would rather live happy than work to live. You're working so you can retire, I'm living so I can enjoy my life. It's a clear difference in the way we function as adults. And that's fine. What I don't tolerate is someone thinking because they have a CPA they're some kind of intelligent person. I know multiple people with CPA and they run the gamut of intelligence. I know people who're math geniuses but have absolutely 0 for lack of a better term, street smarts.

What you don’t understand is that you put in crazy hours for the firs to few years to learn as much as you can an then the world opens to you. And now in this WFH world I can literally work from anywhere in the world.
My life has gotten better by such a degree it’s even hard to describe and now I’m expecting my first child in about 2 weeks.
The excuse of going into debt is weak for two reasons. One you can go to any school and there are cheaper ones around to get the education. Secondly, if you ever went to get an engineering degree 50k in debt is a drop in the pan as to what you would make.
So in reality you didn’t do it for one or two reasons. Either you weren’t bright enough but much more likely you were too lazy to put in the work.
But sure man, when youre 65 barely having enough money to live an still working by necessity I’ll be upset I worked when I was in my twenties as I’m sipping some fine wine on a beach with my family at a nice tropical island.
