I don’t think anyone supports people with mental illnesses to have firearms.
The issue is always that any of these proposals just end up limiting rights for law abiding citizens.
I believe there are already such restrictions. The question is whether they should be expanded. There has been some pushback on the grounds that expanding them will discourage people from getting help. As is often the case, you have to try to balance competing interests. But it seems to me we have an awful lot of people who are known to family members and mental health professionals to be unfit for gun ownership. Imo it should be easier to get them on a restricted list, subject to right of appeal, etc.
Why do you an your kind only want change when it’s a crazy white person doing the killing? I never hear any peep out of you about the horrible murder rates in Chicago and Baltimore. If you are man enough to say that liberals and black leaders really don’t give a **** about inner city crime and white liberals don’t want to address those problems due to potential blowback from their peers I’ll understand.

Last week, hate is the reason for this.
This week, guns will be blamed... there will be no mention of hate.

Is NYC worth visiting right now? My wife is ready to go back, but I don't want a shell of what is was end of 2019. Is most everything open?
