I'm not saying there are easy solutions. But we give up on too many people. Like the kids in this county. They didn't choose to be born in these conditions.

Those in rural poverty typically only have access to a fraction of the resources available to urban poor. Distance and lack of transportation, combined with the lower density of voters to purcha..I mean, assist, are a significant hurdle.

Oh we mistreat both the rural and urban poor. In somewhat different ways. But the neglect and indifference is something to be ashamed of.

I say America is nothing but the culmination of Judeo Christian "values". Sunday might be considered Holy but let's see someone try and take away pro football Sunday. Christians are nice folk on the one hand, but the sacred values are all very pliable. Some might say empty, valueless, hypocritical, and with a wink-wink nod-nod loophole for every arbitrary rule and tenet.

The "virgin" Mary was supposedly impregnated by God himself. Is that not the very definition of rape? When did Mary give her consent and did she really know what she was getting herself and her child into? Just sayin'.
