No All Star Game in Atlanta This Season?

Are you trying to convince me that voter fraud exists? I’m in that boat. It’s about eliminating as much as possible in altering the voters true intention. I’d be happy to discuss ways to eliminate the fraud you suggested though. I could actually find a post of mine that said watch the nursing homes for voter fraud if you’d like.

You've literally stated that you support absentee voting, despite the fact that there are clear cases of fraud that happen in this area in every election.

Yet, apparently you are more concerned that handing out water is more important to our election integrity.

How else do we get the elderly to vote?

Ive now decided I hate you.

In my defense, I live in WV. We haven't had clean water in this area for over a decade. Probably much longer. A few years ago, we couldn't even shower in it for a bit because of contamination. So you get used to avoiding it.

I thought there was an existing thread for politics. There is no reason to believe that Tammany Hall no longer exists in politics. There is always ways to cheat, by both parties. Water in the polling lines may be fine if it is offered for the right reasons but believe me there are still precincts where a $10 dollar bill wrapped around that water bottle can buy something other than a pack of cigarettes.

They should just have water stations and such. No one is actively handing anything out, but people still have their basic needs met if they have to stand around for hours trying to vote.

I’d be fine with this as long as it’s state funded and they are placed at every single voting station.

Heaven forbid you have a god damn ID card, mortgage statement, or bank statement proving who you are so that you may vote...

This is racist. For God sakes man, open your eyes. Others have already pointed out the issues with thoughts like this - quit the entitlement and realize this legislation and line of thinking is intentionally designed to disproportionately impact a segment of the population.

Expecting only a segment of the population to not be able to get an ID seems racist to me.

But please tell me more about how offering bottled water is such a danger to the integrity of our voting system.

he has tried to claim it's a bonus the people that are being forced to wait hours to vote get

while the people with no wait aren't getting it so it's unfair

it's the dumbest line of thinking you can imagine

Yeah it seems both sides are being a little ridiculous on the issue. State or federal issued ID requirement is perfectly acceptable protocol for this. I mean in my state it's against the law for businesses to sell alcohol or cigarettes to someone without ID. So I really don't understand the issue in requiring ID.

But like most bills, there is plenty of overreach from the party propping up the bill. And some absolutely ridiculous stuff, like not offering water to people waiting in line.

Maybe it's to prevent another busted water pipe

How dare you identify yourself before voting.

White supremacist!

Them white supremacist gas station clerks, ABC store clerks who ask for ID. Banks...Racist

Oh... you have to show ID to visit the White House as well. How racist! They should not show such visitation suppression! Derp

You have to show your ID to vote in person but not by absentee
