If Freeman's reps were looking for the Goldy extension I'm glad nothing happened.

Too many unknowns for me to get too upset.

Sounds like our series vs the gNats could be in trouble....gNats now have 4 positive player tests, with 5 additional players in quarantine due to contact tracing

Yea, the series with the Mets was already cancelled for this weekend. Feels like they are still trying to get a grip on how much it has spread. Our series with them probably won't be played either.

Then use the hell out of the pen the next 2 days. Keep starters work down and arms active

Sixto to have an MRI on his shoulder.

And thus, we see the dangers of building a team around a "young exciting rotation".

Camargo recalled, Adrianza to injured list tho not injured. He left team for personal reasons and has to go thru Covid protocol.

Julio Teheran surfaces in Detroit and is the starter in today's game against the Indians. Through 5, your standard current-edition Teheran line: 5 IP, 90 pitches (58s/32b), 4 H, 3 K, 3 BB, 1 HR.

From an analytical standpoint, this makes all the sense in the world.

The problem is that you can make the argument that if someone deserves that extension, it's Freddie. Goldschmidt wasn't/isn't even a blip on the Cards' historical radar compared to what Freddie has meant to the Braves.

If Goldy gets that kind of money from the Cards and Freddie DOESN'T get it from the Braves, it's completely fair to paint Atlanta as an organization that feels like the players are nothing more than assets. At the end of the day - and no matter how true that is - it's beyond ridiculous for ANY organization to ask for patience or for fans to show up or buy merchandise if the team doesn't win 90+ games.

Ohtani has the both the hardest hit ball (115.2), and the fastest pitch thrown (100.6) so far in 2021. I'm not sure we've seen a talent like this in the history of the game.

The Angels also have a guy named Mike Trout, who is supposedly pretty good too. It takes a specially inept FO to lose with those guys anchoring a roster.

Just to be pedantic: I don’t believe it was the hardest hit ball, but rather the hardest ball hit for a home run.

But it’s damn impressive.

Edit: It also looks like Nelson Cruz surpassed the mark today with a 116.6mph blast.
