A very alarming take on the Fukushima earthquake/tsunami and how it may affect the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

well that is depressing

I believe some friends and I are going to road trip up to the creationism museum for the Bill Nye debate next month

That will be cool, I imagine (if a bit one-sided). Kind of like watching Michael Jordan play basketball against Michael Moore.

For some good comic relief (and also a depressing feeling knowing people really think this way), please go to the comment section in the article in the link provided below.

People's inability to grasp global warming is fairly sad. I'm not an alarmist who thinks we all need a 0 carbon footprint, blah blah blah. But anyone ignoring the data is just wrong. Debating over the degree man has effected it and what's the balance between industry and survival are the debates that should be going on. If you think Global Warming is a myth then you suck at data analysis.

I hope the people who say it's not global warming are right, and it's just natural, because I'd hate to think of the millions (billions?) of people who's lives will be ruined by the sea levels rising a few inches.

All sadly the global warming naysayers have to go on is the arctic glaciers. What they don't realize, is that the arctic would be an ecological disaster, species dying out being displaced, etc. but the reason climatologists are studying the the Antarctic is because if that breaks off we're ****ed. Cause the Antarctic is what will cause sealevels to rise.

Better watch the winter Olympics now while you have a chance. With climate change it may be extinct one day. Just look at Vancouver 4 years ago.
