Reality is that Donald will not be coming back, though I think the optics of running a presidency from jail is amusing.
 
I think if Trump goes to jail it will most likely be related to his business dealings rather than the election.

Certainly.

I mean we're not Russia, presidents don't get immunity for life. Now I don't think he'll be in prison. BUt he'll be remanded when it comes to the trial. He's lucky he isn't being charged for other things because in America, corporate fraud charges are under charged by a mile.
 
As I said in another thread, for me watching what is going on in the post-trump GOP is akin to driving by my old house to see what the new owners have done to it. I have little to no skin in the game, but it is fascinating to watch.

Trump isnt going to run in 2024. He has the GOP by the balls so he will just use a surrogate candidate so if he loses Trump can blame that person and take no responsibility for his 3rd straight defeat in the Presidential election. If his candidate wins Trump would be the de facto President being able to bully that person into doing whatever he wanted. Its a perfect spot for Trump. Going to make my official prediction. The Republican nomination process is a game of who can kiss Trumps ass the most and Trump will force the winning candidate to take Ivanka as VP.

Driving through Western North Carolina and Virginia, into East Tennessee,

seeing all the fading Trump signs and flags in the yards, along with the

occasional "Trump 2024" thing, it's hard not to think,
