Republican voter suppression...

To be clear, I still don't think there is anything oppressive, suppressive, or racist about not having voting booths open on Sunday. I think any claims of any of those things being the case are absurd and ignorant of the culture across most of the state. Just so no one thinks I'm being a hypocrite.

That said, do you believe some aspect from the remainder of the bill is oppressive, suppressive, or racist?

I've focused my criticism all along on the proposed changes to Sunday voting. I think the id provision is fine. I've argued in favor of making voting easier AND more secure.

I will say that the Republikaners © have handed this to the Dems on a silver platter. It is true that the final bill is nothing close to the monster that is being portrayed. But we all know how politics works. The new law should be named the Democratic Party Voter Turnout Bill. Just my opinion. It is a great gift to the Democratic Party to fundraise off of and get their base fired up. The least they can do is send flowers and a thank you note.

Having the full weight of the media propaganda and corporate statism to push the lie is quite beneficial

how many pinocchios did the WaPo given credibly accused creepy joe for his claims about the Georgia law

I give you kudos for at least being rational about this bill.

I wonder if you can admit the irrationally about the national media, the WH, and the corporate wokesters

speaking of media coverage...i still wonder why every single day of his presidency every media organization was not running this headline about your dude...seems to me they by and large abdicated their responsibility to cover THE main story of the day...and they abdicated this responsibility every single day for four years

you are commander in chief of his rapid response team

and i think you have done a mighty fine job

I will say if companies like Coke and Delta wanted to be good citizens they would not provide sponsorship dollars to the 2022 Olympics and explicitly tie that to China's genocide against the Uighurs...you gotta pick the right fights in this world

i wasn't asking a rhetorical question when I asked how many pinocchios the WaPo gave credibly accused creepy joe over this issue

i have no problem saying he, psaki, and other dems have made a lot more out of this than is actually there...the law that was passed is a nothing burger as i see it...but it is too juicy a political football to put down...there is that

Why would the press participate?

well...maybe you should answer my question about pinocchios...google can point you in the right direction

If you know the answer to your own question, you should answer it. I'm not your errand boy... meanwhile, why would the press participate? Such as...

That is a montages of a dozen media organizations

Why does nsacpi think they.may be willing to lie?

The media, after all, has no agenda. You've made that clear in the media thread and sparky remarks about it

it's easy to say they or the media...but until you come up with something more specific i can't really say whether you have a case about how this issue has been covered...i did find it interesting that the WaPo doled out four pinocchios...my main complaint with them and others was voiced in post #446
